New Century Sport: Introduction

NEW CENTURY is the Dutch/Chinese consulting agency focused on the promotion and improvement of football in Asia. The Amsterdam-based New Century realises that Dutch football has become extremely popular in the world, especially in Asia. The aim of New Century is to transfer Dutch football qualities to Asian football players and other professionals. The initial focus will be on China, where football is already a very popular sport.

New Century will realise this through the execution of a plan of action which consists of six activities:

Consultancy / Course and Workshops : We provide the exchange of football knowledge and offer training seminars for players, trainers, coaches and managers. In co-operation with the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) New Century organizes course for coaches and management in Football, both in Holland as in China. Football trainers from the KNVB, with the support of the Chinese Sport Federation in the Netherlands, have recently organised a successfull football clinic in Guangzhou, China. New Century is able to repeat this success in any other area in China.

Football Trips / Study Travels : Our trips are for players, trainers, coaches and managers from China and the Netherlands as well as other European countries. These trips will include visits to European football clubs and their facilities, football schools, football clinics and seminars.

Clinics & Football Tournaments : Our clinics include friendly matches and tournaments where Chinese players have the opportunity to experience European-style football.

Transfer of Players: Since Chinese professional clubs are allowed to have a maximum of three foreign players on their team, we can offer valuable players to fit those roles-players who can drive their team to play better football and who can share their knowledge and experience with other Chinese players. Conversely, we can assist talented Chinese players in their efforts to join football clubs abroad. We not only advise players in their contractual talks but support them as well in assimilating to their new surroundings. We provide such support because we understand that only comfortable players can contribute at their optimum levels.

Import and Export of Football Merchandise: We organise the import and export of videos, magazines, medical equipment, sport/ football stadium equipment and broadcast royalties for football matches.

Remediation of Injured Players: Chinese players that are injured often can not receive the proper physical therapy treatments available in other medically advanced countries. Recognising this inadequacy, we can provide Chinese players recovering from injuries with the treatment necessary for full recoveries at superior medical recovery facilities.

New Century has at its disposal a football trainer/coach with a KNVB / FIFA license and FIFA Players Agent license. We also work closely together with the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) , Euro-Sportring (International Football Tournament) and the Chinese Football Association (CFA).

Several Chinese delegations have already visited the KNVB football center in Zeist, The Netherlands,and they have experienced the methods used to educate football trainers.

Our representatives in China and Hong Kong, in cooperation with the New Century headoffice in the Netherlands, can on the basis of a commercial agreement, actively promote professional footbal in China, Hong Kong and in other Asian countries, as well as offer advice on football activities with the objective of elevating Asian football.
